A 100% Gamay Cru from the Beaujolais region, legend has it that the name of this AOC was adopted in honor of the Roman general Julius Caesar.

– History –

Plot of 2.60 hectares located in the commune of Juliénas. Planted in the 1970s and 1980s. First vintage in 2024.

– Terroir –

Soil is lightly stony, consisting of piedmont and ancient alluvium. North/South exposure.

– Grape varieties –

100% Gamay

– Viticulture –

Grass cover between the vines is controlled. Farming practices preserve the natural ecosystem: HVE level 3 certified. The average yield is 56 hL per hectare.

– Vinification –

Manual harvesting. 100% de-stemming. Vatting time of 10 to 12 days.

👁️ Bright colour, deep garnet/cherry red
